It takes a grand team to throw a party this big. We’re always looking for legendary volunteers, sponsors, vendors, and leaders to help us bring the craic to life — no luck required, just a bit of spirit!

The Heartbeat of the Fest

Twin Cities Irish Fest is powered by people like you! Each year, over 600 volunteers donate their time and talent to bring Irish dance, music, and culture to Minnesota. Whether you want to be in the middle of the action in August or help us year-round on our "Street Team," there’s a spot for you in the family

Why Join Us?

Perks: Enjoy free weekend admission, a commemorative t-shirt, access to our volunteer hospitality area (read: free beverages and snacks), free parking on the day(s) you volunteer, and one free beverage ticket (alcohol or non) per shift.
Community: Meet fellow fans of Irish culture and make lifelong friends!
Inclusivity: We welcome volunteers of all backgrounds and abilities. Ages 16+ generally preferred, however, there are some options for younger helpers (especially if volunteering with their family).

Volunteer Training

Safety is a team sport! So, to keep the celebration safe and grand, we ask all volunteers to join us for a quick Alcohol Awareness Training session in July.

For Alcohol Servers & ID Checkers: This training is required for your specific role to ensure we meet all safety and legal standards.
For All Other Volunteers: While not strictly required for your position, we strongly encourage you to attend so our entire team is on the same page regarding guest safety. However, if attending creates a significant personal hardship or burden, please just let us know.

The Flavor of the Fest

Twin Cities Irish Fest is a grand celebration of all things Irish, and every year we strive to offer a legendary variety of food to tens of thousands of hungry guests.

To ensure a diverse and exciting festival menu, we use an equitable application process for all potential vendors. This allows us to open up opportunities to a wide range of local businesses while continuing to celebrate the long-term partners we know and love.

2026 Application Timeline

March 15: Application Opens
May 1: Application window closes
June 1: Decisions finalized and vendors notified
June 15: Signed Vendor Agreements due (via DocuSign)
July 25: Final Deadline: All menu items, pricing, permits, insurance certificates, and ST-19 forms due
August 1: Booth Space Payment Due

The Craft of the Fest

From handcrafted jewelry and traditional knitwear to unique Celtic treasures, the Marketplace is the shopping destination of the festival. We take great pride in hosting a diverse collection of makers, artisans, and community organizations that bring the spirit of Ireland to our grounds.

To maintain a high-quality and varied experience for our guests, we select our vendors through an equitable application process. Whether you are a long-time partner or a new business looking to join us for the first time, we welcome your interest!

Booth Expectations & Hours: The Marketplace is the center of activity for the duration of Irish Fest, and we want our guests to enjoy a full experience from start to finish.

Merchants & Artisans: Booths are required to be open and staffed for the entire duration of the festival.
Community Organizations: Booths must be open and staffed according to the specific shifts selected during the application process.

The Spirit of the Fest

The Twin Cities Irish Fest is a community-driven celebration powered by a dedicated circle of leaders. From strategic governance to on-the-ground operations, our leadership team ensures that the "craic" is safe, organized, and authentic.

Whether you are a long-time fan or a veteran volunteer, we invite you to help us shape the future of the Fest.

Area Managers

Area Managers are the festival’s "commanders on the ground." This is an elevated volunteer role perfect for those who want leadership experience and a behind-the-scenes look at how a major festival is produced.

Your Role: You will have direct responsibility for the tactical operations of a specific area (e.g., Pub Tents, Volunteer Check-in, VIP, etc.). Check out the "Volunteers" tab of this page to look at Area Manager position descriptions.
Responsibilities: Providing input on area layout, managing and training volunteers during their shifts, and ensuring our guests have an excellent experience.
The Commitment: 4–6 hours of planning meetings before the fest, plus availability during the festival weekend to oversee your designated area.

Operating Committees

Not ready for a Board seat but want to help plan the magic? Our Operating Committees meet year-round to oversee the vital organs of the festival. This is a great way to use your professional skills to support the community.

Active Committees: Marketing, Entertainment, Volunteers, and Revenue/Fundraising/Sponsorships.
What You’ll Do: Plan festival logistics, assist with St. Patrick’s Day events and parades, and help run year-round fundraising activities.

The Board of Directors

Our Board of Directors is a "working board" that provides the strategic vision and governance for the Irish Fair of Minnesota d/b/a Twin Cities Irish Fest (a 501(c)(3) non-profit). We are looking for passionate individuals who want to roll up their sleeves and help us grow to reflect a modern, global Ireland.

Who We Look For: Leaders with experience in governance, marketing, fundraising, grant-writing, strategic partnerships, or sponsorship.
The Commitment: Monthly meetings (4th Tuesday of each month) and participation in at least one standing committee.
Fest Weekend: Board members are "all hands on deck" during the second weekend in August to provide leadership and support to our volunteers and managers.
